Ap Bio Lab 4 Carolina

days cycling tour to Rishiri: 4 13:05:10

The following day it had stopped raining. It stormed!

Except that I fought against the strong wind at its back, did not happen much too exciting. Surprisingly, I was still at about 80 km that day. But I was exhausted at night total. (Well, at least I was from 5:00 clock in the morning to 6:00 clock in the evening on the way) I always found

Conviniencestores irregular. Often hours passed before I saw another. Above all, it was no longer 7eleven in which I can withdraw money would have. (There are various Conbinis such as Lawson, 7eleven or Seco Mart, but only the above accept my credit card)

The scenery was very desolate and depressing, because I was driving will no longer along the coast, but by gentle hills. This awakened from a distance looks as if they were covered with soft, dry grass, was seen in the vicinity, but one that it is once again dealing with the ubiquitous bamboo. This greenhouse
I can not necessarily call my friend. It also has no resemblance to the pretty, langstaengeligen Ornamental bamboo, which is in so many gardens like planted as a screen. No, this is small, compact, has only a few, very broad leaves, which often look very dry, and grows on everything that stands still long enough. Like a carpet, it spreads out for miles and ousted all the smaller plants. (Natsumi told me to keep a place open bamboo, one had him for three years, weeding)
And this plant is constantly making noises! Although not a breeze is blowing, we mean to hear a human whisper. However, the wind sweeps through, it rings, when large animals were beating through the woods ... Often I am therefore already shrunk from sleep and lay there listening.

over laid against two clock I seriously have to look for the night because I was so tired of the grueling wind. Therefore, I followed a small path to my left in the forest, a hillside leading down to a large meadow. Actually, it was perfect: plenty of space, light wind (very important), out of sight but still in close to the highway ...
But still I felt somehow uncomfortable here. Especially since I had found on the path relics of a larger animal that probably wont stop by there more often. So I went
me reluctantly back to the street to my struggle with the storm resume. But it was worth it!

led after about 5 km the road from the Bambushuegeln out back to the coast, where I immediately felt better, although the wind here (unobstructed by trees and bushes) almost doubled. I finally came back again in smaller villages. The last were a few tens of kilometers. The evening also brought a little surprise: I had just crossed a larger settlement (as I had been staring at a group of youths, as they had never been an exhausted foreigner hungry swallow a noodle soup to see), clarified because the sky from the usual leaden about light gray to almost blue, the sun came out and left everything in their golden evening light shine, while I was driving through lush green meadows and fields.

in wonderful mood, I also found my most beautiful so far Sleeping place, where I opened my tent: A survey on the wide green lawn was fenced by a grove of trees (with the inevitable bamboo as a ground cover). In the distance I could see a farm, but he was far enough away, as I would have with my brief presence can interfere. Here I spent my previously good night's game as a Camp Erin. It was great.

Hatchet Vs Genitals Where To Watch

days cycling tour to Rishiri: 2 u. 3 Days 11./12.05.10

I ate breakfast when I am the slope again hinaufgekaempft had (where I drew upon a number of scratches) on the roadside. For here I still possessed a hard-boiled three eggs, which I had prepared for Claus and as always, apples, bananas and some nuts.

The day was rather unspectacular, but I put a few miles back. Along the coast we proceed very quickly and when I opened my tent at a rest area was already "Wakkanai: 189 miles" to the highway signs. My
for today Chosen roost consisted of a kind viewing platform of wood planks and since I do not could not find a better location within the city and me near the lighthouse and the port evening mood was so pleased, I waited until nightfall before I set up the tent. It was a very peaceful night, accompanied by the gurgling of the waves below me and the occasional screeching gulls.
against middle of the night it started to rain and the increased well-being, in the dry warm sleeping bag are much the same again.

I was really awake when I heard Maennerstimmen that sounded as if they came from very near. So I packed up everything that was this time a little more tedious than usual, because I had to do because of the steadily falling rain inside the tent. The floor of my home nylon was damp, anscheindend he had with his adventure in the river yet gotten a few scratches ... A little bit of getting used
was to pack the tent soaking leave in the envelope and know that it would probably be inside very humid and uncomfortable that night.

The rain was not very strong, but soon I was still wet from head to foot. My efforts, he stoically endure over to let me have failed after a few hours drive, but I felt that had happened to my shoes and my feet swimming pool (despite the plastic bags into which I had put it) were also wet.
Suddenly it was turned very cold because it had started to blow a strong wind, which I also the next few days should not leave.
Especially since I showered the vices now every time from top to bottom, when they passed me.

No, that was no fun anymore!

I decided to spend the night somewhere in the dry and also to patch up my things. It was only half past seven in the morning and the first Conviniencestores; Effnet. Since I already had at least about 15 kilometers behind me, troubled me not feel guilty when I asked for an accommodation in the next Lawson.
After some back and forth, I actually got out that there is no one Minshuku kilometers (private property) would give.

Thankfully I made my way. There currently is still early season and therefore are pretty much closed all the usual tourist facilities such as campgrounds and beach hotels.
A few of these disappointments, I was already behind me, until I received the good news.

The accommodation was indeed for the price of 3,000 yen very spartan and the room a bit shabby, but the Hauseigentuemerin was all the more cordial, took me and my bike under her wing, heated my room, preparing the evening a hot bath and was really sweet.
noon I went for a walk and visited the place. There was even a post office and a local history museum, however, had closed. Then I retired to my room and wrote my diary cards and spent a very pleasant, dry and warm night.

Preserving Hydrangers With Glycerine

bike ride to Rishiri: Day 10:05:10

The departure of Claus and his lovely apartment was very difficult. Especially since I did not know when my comfort and good company would be allowed as here again ... However
was sunny and warm weather to the fact that I was soon on the happy, what lay before me. This part of my trip would be charming, have its ups and downs. (And for me as a cyclist were the highs and the sooner the lows and vice versa)
Pretty soon after I route 5, which fuert from the city center, leaving behind me and had been on the 231, drove me would bring to the coast, you could already account for the increased salt content in air and I was always exhilarating. I would still see the sea!

course took the route through the city but still down a bit, but after I was out of it, time and miles went by pretty fast. As long as we drove the highway, it was not so hilly, but I also from time to time on this took me to be beautiful views and some rest before the roaring cars have quickly here.
first, the Jüsten not easily visible. The promenade, where I was driving along led by only duenige landscape with tall grass, so that one had the impression that one would be somewhere in northern Europe (the Baltic Sea, perhaps), but not in Japan!

When I then inevitably back on had to move the highway, the dunes departed soon magnificent cliffs, to me the view of the sea was no longer withheld. Subsequently, this landscape hardly changed.

in the post a little town I provided me with new stamps and got from the post man even ran so extra twice more in me, even a small towel for the Onsen and given sweets from Okinawa. I was very pleased, because the towel I could well use for small craft on the roadside and food is always good anyway ...

was the friendliness of the mail man to me as encouragement also receive the recently I was again driving on the highway, the first breakdown. The repair itself was not been the problem (for now anyway, I had spare hoses here, because the patches always needs some time and I did better in the evening in silence outside the tent), no, what prepared me grief was the loss of my small air pump.

Whether lost or perhaps stolen in Sapporo ... when I tried to pump up the tires, it certainly was not in place. Since it had also traded this for a gift (this time by my father), I was of course unfortunate, as it would be such an object might have been worth it. But even more pressing was the problem, as I was now filled the tires. I had no other choice than my Wheel to load again and to a small group of Farmhaeuschen push back, where hopefully someone possessed an air pump. Here, however, I immediately had
luck. After I had reached the first house, at that moment came out an elderly farmer, whom I also spoke to the same to my little problem.
he can clearly help me, he said, and hurried away already. I walked behind with my lame donkey, and together we made it roadworthy again. However, the good man had been too eager: The tire was strangely bulging in some places and while I was putting together a gift as a thank you, it made a sudden loud and clear "Zzzzsssch" and the tire was flat again. So I built
him a second time and saw that the hose had burst normal. Unflickbarer a plan, almost a hand wide, gaping in the rubber.
I went with the tube to find the nice man to ask if I could take his help for a second time to complete. He was also involved and refused to be dissuaded, patch up the old tires with the small hole by hand.
During inflation slowed down in time I did this time, although he did not like einsah and preferred to continue pumping for so long, would have until the tire was rock hard. However, I remembered the good advice of my father and my colleagues who helped me upgrade my donkey and to stop insisting (despite clear Mine disappointed my Saviour, who also was too noble to take one of my gifts.)

This should not remain the only good event for this day. Later, it was almost evening and I was exhausted rest, because I had just tormented by a series of tunnels, where even a small car sounds like a jumbo jet and you think constantly, if one were on a runway, I met a young couple from Sapporo. They were very interested and asked me with a coffee and Reisbaellchen they had donated to me for almost half an hour. As a parting they gave me a strange welded in bars that looked like raw dough with fruit and decided it to me for aufzusparen royal breakfast. (Of course, I have forgotten him, and at noon only found and ate what was a lucky, because it tasted rather sweet only terribly many proteins from crab meat or fish)
At least this couple, however, accepted my thank you gifts and gave me even their phone number. I should call you when I was back in Sapporo.

This first night was spent near the highway on a small hill, on which I beat myself once through the undergrowth had. I slept well and woke up the next day with the sun at half past five.

Platypuses For Sale In North America

Sissipus Greetings: My journey to Sapporo Sapporo

After my tent one night had more time to dry, I could finally on 3 May break.
The sun was shining, it was warm and my hopes for a pleasant first tour that does not completely satisfied. The departure was delayed in itself of course still something. My luggage was too heavy and I was back again with a bleeding heart a few belongings. Then it was
, still cherished by all the people adopt to make the last photos and store the small gifts that I have yet to be on their way. had learned of two pieces of cheese, cereals and biscuits by Natsumi or friendly farmer families that I know - I especially looked forward to the homemade food. But then I went

and a light breeze blew the hair from her face. The feeling of complete freedom over me.

The 25 miles to Kimobetsu where I was two weeks ago have already been. proceeded quite unspectacular. On a small fruit and vegetable stand, I bought two apples and was under Japanese Dudelmusik from the store a short break with a wonderful view of Mt Youteizan, who accompanied me on the whole line here already and by its similarity to the Fuji-san, here in Hokkaido is very famous.

But now I let him lie on my left and continued on Highway Route 230 towards Sapporo. Very soon after the village it was uphill. Not strong, but stable. The first few kilometers I was also by then but it was exhausting me and I began to push, when to my right, the cars roared past, the bikers waved occasionally, and their "ganbarre ne" - listen to "hold on" Liess.

course, I persevered. Even all the way uphill to the Nakayama Pass, for which I needed pushing nearly four hours. (By contrast, only Kimobetsu it would have been little more than one at about the same mileage!) Up here, I refreshed myself again at the service area of a ski lodge, admiring the view which presented itself to me now almost 1,000 meters.

The descent was exhilarating! Miles and miles flew past me that I had been so laboriously fight. Even the tunnel were overcome in this way bearable and fast. Before I knew, I was already in the suburbs of Sapporo and had only set back about 15 miles to the city. Slowly it was time to look for the camping out for which I had picked me.

Unfortunately I did not find him. I asked a nice old farmer who knew him and, unfortunately, not me instead, many well-told nice things in Japanese, which I understand but unfortunately not me and a little later, smiling and nodding adopted. Even the motorcycle could make a major hotel, that should be located near I not discover. Maybe I did not recognize the signs simply.
But that was not even more tragic because it seemed was just after four and the sun still above the tops of the mountains that I had passed.

a while I went still on the pleasant walk along wide, to a small side street in a forest and after about 500 meters turn led to the main road. This small way I was built and then in a small forest in my tent on a bamboo glade. The remote monotonous and soothing sound of the motorway in the background, I began to set up domestic. Only once drove a car along the side street and stopped a few meters from my tent, probably to fix a minor mishap. Otherwise, no one bothered me. The tent I had deliberately built up behind a large root that covered it almost completely. When it began to dawn, I crawled inside and read in the light of my headlamp yet, until fatigue overcame me and I fell into a Duch only occasional brief waking periods interrupted sleep caused by the dry raschelden bamboo.

The next morning came too fast and I crawled around half past six already back to the surface because I wanted to repack some bags. Especially on the handlebars were too big and it alone cost a lot of strength to keep it straight. So I piled all my heavy bags and belongings in the rear only my clothes and food remained in the small forward. That was but already much better and I was elated after a small breakfast of the last piece of cheese, two biscuits and a few sips from my water bag was my way to the city again.

This was actually completed in less than an hour and when I saw the last little hill in the morning sun climbed, rewarded me a wonderful view over the city and to my left to a great mountain panorama for my recent troubles.

arrived in the city, however, I advanced much more slowly, but after about two hours I reached the quiet little neighborhood where my friend lived Claus, I wanted to visit and was only a day before arriving here. Unfortunately, I only knew the number of apartment buildings, no street number, but since his address sounded more like a students accommodation, I found the only Building that could be considered quite fast.

as my ringing no response, I threw him a note with my mobile phone number in the letter box and wanted to continue armed with a can of Pepsi from the located there vending machines again to somewhere eat my meager lunch, as sleepy, he stuck his head from his balcony and laughed. Shaking the box of letters he had heard, but not the bell.
So I could so the same but put my things in his small apartment and make my bike to the other students wheels.

Now began a very relaxing week. We wrapped together almost from the complete tourist program, buying more things for his apartment to make it comfortable and he was employed from time to time to fill out dozens of forms for the bank and his employer. Meanwhile, I rested in his apartment, wrote postcards, went shopping or walking. It was so relaxing as I had wished for a long time.
The evenings were always pleasant, some cans of beer from the Convenience Store, meaningless jobs or cooking a simple dinner.
It was very exciting to see how it is to live in a large Japanese city. Especially regarding the complex and costly waste separation or cooking facilities (they cook in a very rustic gas disks!) terms.

Now approaching its end, however, this time. Tomorrow, I'll break up again, as Claus has to start work now and I have to go around Hokkaido. The next two days should be very warm and sunny, according to weather forecast. A real pleasure for me because the rain would become even harder to say goodbye, as he now already is. Now and then I feel too good and I am so grateful for the wonderful time here in Sapporo!
But we know we should stop when it's most fun ...

I hope that I will soon have the opportunity to complete my blog. However, I am afraid that it will take a while until I get back into the Internet. Far to the north, these opportunities for lack of larger cities are less.

However, I am looking forward very much to drive along the coast and see the sea, maybe even time to sleep on the beach ... I guess that I have to Wakkanai, the point in the far north, where I would like to visit two small islands about would take a week.
